It is that time of year again, and it is time for San Francisco’s legendary Folsom Street Fair, going down this Sunday, September 29 from 11 AM to 6 PM on Folsom Street. The Folsom Street Fair, experiencing its 30th anniversary with this year’s event is a truly defining festival in San Francisco and one of the more intrepid yearly public street events in the world.

If you are not familiar with the Folsom Street Fair, it is a celebration of BDSM and the “leather” gay subculture and is considered the largest fetish festival in the world. Even if you are not a part of these subcultures or particularly interested in them, many onlookers visit the festival each year just to take in the extravagant sight that it is to behold.

On top of all the usual kinky festivities, there will be a lot of excellent dance music at the fair, and plenty of after-parties and adjoining special events. Best of all, admission to the event is free with a minimal suggested donation. All proceeds go the fair’s beneficiaries, and those who give the suggested donation will receive two dollars off each drink purchase at the fair. For more info, click here.
