QOTSA to Perform at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium

There may be no band on the scene right now representing for rock ‘n roll in its purest form any better than Southern California rockers Queens of the Stone Age. The group (which rose from the ashes of the Palm Beach Desert Rock scene of which front-man Josh Homme’s old band, Kyuss, were major players) has been at it for over 15 years, and is currently in as good of form as ever, touring in support of their recent critically acclaimed record, Like Clockwork. The record sees QOTSA refining their sound to a tightly-melodic hard rock sensibility sure to delight fans new and old, and is generally considered to be one of the best rock albums to be released in recent years.

Homme and company will be bringing their unique brand of driving, melodic, groove-oriented hard rock to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on Thursday, April 17. You can expect plenty of jams from the new record, in addition to top favorites from throughout the bands discography. The band’s newly renovated lineup sees them in tip-top shape, and Homme is currently in rare form, with a fresh and focused perspective on the heels of a serious health care that sidelined him in 2010. 2014 is prime-time to see QOTSA in concert, and we strongly suggest you check out the show whether you are a big fan of the band or just want to see some great live hard rock music.

The show will start at 7:30 PM, and QOTSA will be supported by opening act Warpaint. For more information on the concert and to purchase tickets, please click here.
